As a practicing pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital Colorado, and a medical researcher, Mandy has long been drawn to the mystical power of the mind-body connection. She first discovered yoga at the age of 41 and quickly became captivated by the meditative quality of the Ashtanga yoga system, and the quiet strength of Power Yoga, practicing both of these styles regularly for the last 3 years. After moving to Denver in 2012 she discovered Rocket Yoga and has since also added this to her list of favorites for it’s fun and dynamic movements. She graduated from the Axis Yoga 200 hour teacher-training program in 2013 and is excited to now be able to use her combined knowledge of medicine and yoga to better people’s lives and health. Mandy strives to make her classes fun, dynamic, and energetic, while maintaining a grounding foundation of breath meditation linked with movement. Her goal is to help students tap into the quiet power of their own unique inner strength so that the lessons learned on the yoga mat can be applied to other areas of their lives.
