Phillip Rotherham

Phillip Rotherham, RYT is a strong believer in the benefits of yoga for everyone regardless of age or ability. Just a little patience, motivation, and persistence with your practice can transform your body and your life. Transformations achieved not through wishing, pills, or shortcuts but through honest, regular, and achievable practice.

An Ashtangi at heart, Phillip’s daily practice has been formed locally by teachers Joan Isbell and Eric Stauffer while he’s focused his other training and intensives with Ashtanga’s elementals: Tim Miller, Richard Freeman, Annie Pace, and David Swenson. The solid foundation in this lineage, along with the comprehensive training he received at Denver’s Axis Yoga Teacher Trainings, allow Phillip to explore and value contributions from the myriad traditions and approaches to yoga. A focus on the common threads of breath, alignment, and bandhas allows us to start where we are today, instead of worrying about where we might or “should” be.
When not learning about, practicing, or teaching yoga, pranayama, and meditation you can find Phillip riding his bicycle, reading, working with technology, parenting, volunteering, or any combination of the above.
