A snowboard instructor volunteer opportunity with the National Sports Center for the Disabled ignited her passion of working with individuals living with a disability. She has since worked with clients from various organizations such as Awakenings Health Institute, Project Walk, Challenged Athletes Foundation, TBIALive and The Chanda Plan Foundation.  Her most recent adventure with Ocean Healing Group led her to Costa Rica to teach adaptive surfing and adaptive yoga.  She offers a practice for all levels of abilities, focusing on the subtleties of yoga.  She has also obtained personal training certifications through the National Association of Sports Medicine and American Council of Exercise. Her continued growth along the path of health and wellness has been enhanced by working privately with clients, teaching multi-level classes, attending numerous yoga workshops/trainings with world renowned teachers and deep exploration in her own personal practice.  Her style of yoga instruction reflects upon all of the teachers and certifications that she has studied in the past 13 years. Her classes offer a varied and challenging practice of strength, stability and focus. The flow of the class is well-balanced and led by clear instruction that guides the student deeper into their mind-body connection.  She continues to build upon the path of healing others through empowerment, awareness and a practice of Mindful Balance within the body, mind and spirit.  www.alishawelch.com
